Becoming A Member Agency

Agencies desiring to become a member of Harvest Texarkana must be an IRS recognized Tax Exempt organization - either holding a 501(c)3 determination or qualifying as a tax exempt church through the IRS guidelines.  Documentation of this status is required.

 

To become an member agency of Harvest Texarkana, an organization should review the Membership Application and Member Handbook.  Staff at Harvest Texarkana can help complete the application and collect the other required documentation.  Once all documents are completed, Harvest Texarkana will schedule a visit to the agency location to do a food safety inspection and review of procedures and policies.  After the inspection is complete, an agency is now welcome to come to Harvest Texarkana.  When picking up the first order, the agency will receive a tour and meet the rest of the staff.  Harvest Texarkana is required to visit agencies periodically to ensure food safety measures are being followed and to assist with any issues and provide additionally training as it becomes available.
