Summer Feeding Program

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) provides nutritious meals and snacks to children during the summer months. This federally funded food service program helps children who live in eligible areas receive the same high quality meals during the summer as they get during the school year. Local sponsors oversee the production and distribution of meals to children at sites like schools, churches, parks, and playgrounds. Organizations which qualify as sponsors receive funds to pay for meals and snacks to children. They also receive training and technical assistance to help start and operate the program.
