Volunteer
Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Food Bank's mission. They have sorted and bagged food, stocked shelves, and helped us distribute food and spread hope to people in need.
We welcome both individuals and groups. The Food Bank utilizes volunteers every weekday all day as well as during special volunteer days on weekends. We draw on a diversity of talents and skill sets, using both sharp minds and able bodies. Harvest Texarkana can help you to make an meaningful impact in the lives of thousands of people. All you need are willing hands and a caring heart.
There are many different ways to volunteer. You can help Harvest Texarkana by volunteering to assist with:
- sorting, boxing and repackaging donated food for distribution to food pantries
- special events
- special projects
- warehouse assistance
- administrative work
- gleaning (seasonal)
- yard maintenance
- community gardening
- food drive collection assistance
