Harvest Texarkana is a Food Bank; we provide warehousing and distribution of bulk supplies to partner agencies who then, in turn, provide relief to the client. We distribute cases of food to assist smaller agencies who could not handle the large quantities of food resources provided by manufacturers and donors. Through our network of agencies, we provides hunger relief to over 50,000 individuals each year in a 10 county region. Harvest Texarkana works to tap into hunger relief resources from manufacturers, retailers, donors, growers, and other sources to assist the hungry.

Arkansas and Texas have the two highest rates of child hunger with 1 in 4 going hungry. The Harvest Texarkana Backpack program works to help those who are too young to help themselves.
Harvest Texarkana began as a Food Rescue Organization. Twenty years later we still collect excess food from restaurants, cafeterias, and retailers for immediate delivery to partner soup kitchens, shelters, and after school programs in Texarkana.
