The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization led by volunteers that provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people to prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. Assistance is also provided to people in cases where unforeseen circumstances have caused immediate need for food or medication. Single-family fires take an abundance of resources, which includes food. Harvest Texarkana supplies canned goods.
» ATLANTA, TEXAS CHRISTIAN FOOD PANTRY

This locally developed Christian food pantry is where families may receive sacks of groceries, clothing and counseling. The pantry is open Monday-Friday. Approximately one thousand people are served monthly. Harvest Texarkana provides bakery goods, canned goods and vending items.
» BATTERED WOMEN’S SHELTER/DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PREVENTION:

The battered Women’s Shelter provides a safe place for victims of domestic violence. Three meals a day are provided for the female residents and their children. The shelter’s average capacity is 30-35 residents. Harvest Texarkana supplies approximately one-third of the food served at the shelter. Harvest provides various bakery items, canned goods, prepared foods, poultry and meats and vending items.
» BEVERLY COMMUNITY CENTER

Formally the Texarkana, TX Weed & Seed Initiative this agency provides positive activity alternatives, enhancing educational opportunities through after school and summer programs. Harvest Texarkana provides 100 % of the snacks, drinks and any other food items used in this center.
» BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF TEXARKANA

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Texarkana provides year round programs and services including all major traditional and non-traditional sports, academic assistance (including computer skills), arts & crafts, career and leadership development activities, substance abuse prevention services, counseling and referral services as needed. Over 600 economically disadvantaged young people aged 6-18 years old are served annually. Seventy-five percent of club members are minorities and sixty percent are from single parent families. Harvest Texarkana provides sandwiches and snack products.
» BREAD OF LIFE MINISTRIES OF ARKANSAS, INC.

Bread of Life Ministries is an interdenominational Christ-Centered outreach ministry to men, women and children in our community, counties and States (in the four states area). Our mission is to be a source of needed food supplies, clothing and emergency funding for such items as medicine, utility bills, etc., as well as a referral service to other agencies that will assist with such items as skill training, job assistance, counseling, etc. Harvest Texarkana provides canned goods, fresh and frozen foods.
» DEKALB HOPE

Supported by the City of DeKalb, DeKalb churches and private donations this agency provides food baskets, medical and utility assistance for families in rural East Texas. DeKalb Hope is the only non-governmental hunger relief agency serving rural Bowie County.
» DORCUS HOUSE

Dorcus House is a ministry of the Nash Church of Christ. Volunteers gather clothing and other essentials for burn outs and offer food baskets weekly. This is the only private assistance program serving residents of Nash, TX. Harvest Texarkana provides weekly donations of bread and canned goods.
» FAITH, LOVE AND HOPE YOUTH CORPORATION

Provides a tutoring program to 90 below-poverty-level students struggling in reading and math. The food served during the tutoring program may be the only food a child receives in the after-school hours. Harvest Texarkana provides sandwiches, snacks, fruit and drinks to this corporation.
» FIRST ASSEMBLY OF GOD, INC

This food pantry in Dierks, AR also provides residents of Howard County with good used clothing, toys, household items, etc. Harvest provides various pantry items to this outreach
» FRIENDSHIP CENTER

A Christian-based, locally developed assistance program where needy people may receive hot meals sacks of groceries, utility assistance, counseling, vocational training in auto-mechanics, certified nurses training, and computer training. Services and training programs are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Hot meals are served from 10: am – 1:30pm. Approximately 30,000 people are served annually. Twenty-five percent of the food served is provided by Harvest Texarkana.
» HARDY MEMORIAL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH COMMUNITY MEAL

The Hardy Community Meal feeds the hungry each Saturday at 11:30am. The average number of needy persons fed is 75-80. Harvest Texarkana makes food donations throughout the year to this local food program.
» HOPE IN ACTION

Hope in Action is an organization operating a food pantry and homeless shelter for Hempstead County, in Southwest Arkansas. They provide shelter, job and/or life skills training, transportation and recruit for GED programs held at the local learning center. Harvest Texarkana provides canned and frozen goods.
» MANNA KITCHEN

This New Boston, Texas kitchen delivers hot meals to the elderly and area shut-ins. More than 100 clients are provided with meals seven days a week. Harvest Texarkana donates canned goods, dried goods, poultry and meats, snack products and produce.
» NEW HOPE BAPTIST CHURCH FOOD PANTRY

This church pantry provides food baskets and offers on-site meals to those in need in the Doddridge, Arkansas community. Harvest Texarkana provides monthly non-perishable donations throughout the year to this organization.
» OZAN-CARVER EARLY LEARNING CENTER

Providing childcare, education and social support services to children at risk due to economic and environmental problems is the job of the Ozan-Carver Early Learning Center. Harvest Texarkana supplies food donations such as breakfast foods, snacks, fruit and produce.
» RANDY SAMS HOMELESS SHELTER

The Randy Sams Homeless Shelter provides a safe place to sleep and two meals a day to Texarkana’s homeless men, women and children. Sacks of groceries, clothing and household items are also available for needy families. Over a thousand people are helped every month. Additionally, Randy Sam’s provides food baskets, clothing and gifts to those in need each Christmas. Approximately 80% of their food is provided by Harvest Texarkana.
» SAFE HAVEN BAPTIST SHELTER

This volunteer-based homeless shelter in Atlanta, Texas provides the needy with a safe place to sleep and two hot meals a day. This family-style shelter can hold up to twenty-five residents.
» SALVATION ARMY AND THE CENTER OF HOPE

A hot meal is served to approximately sixty people each evening. Many needy people are served packaged sandwiches from a local vending company donor throughout the day. Other food items such as fruit, canned goods and snacks are also provided. The Center of Hope can provide emergency and transitional housing, food and transportation for 14 single women or 8 families.
» SANDFLAT-GLENDALE SHANNON NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER

Sandflat-Glendale Shannon Neighborhood Center provides a safe place for children whose parents work. The program provides enrichment activities after school so children are not left alone at home. A meal or snack is provided. Food is also distributed to the neighborhood’s needy residents. Harvest Texarkana supplies the center with a variety of food.
» ST. EDWARDS OUTREACH

Sack lunches are provided five days a week and groceries are provided to needy citizens one time per month. St. Edwards Outreach also provides financial assistance to those in need. Harvest Texarkana provides sandwiches, snack products, bakery goods, fruit, produce and canned goods. Thirty percent of food used in this program comes from Harvest.
» TEXARKANA BAPTIST ORPHANAGE

The Texarkana Baptist Orphanage provides a loving home to approximately thirty children. Harvest Texarkana makes regular donations of bread, canned goods and produce.
» THE REFUGE

A Christian community center that offers a safe place for youth recreation without the negative influences on “at risk” children ages 8 – 16. Over 100 youth visit The Refuge each Monday from 6-8PM as well as Friday and Saturday nights between 6PM and 10PM. Harvest Texarkana provides pizzas, snacks, sandwiches and drinks for the youth programs.
» TWIN CITIES DAY CARE CENTER

Quality childcare in a loving, pleasant and caring environment for infants, toddlers and pre-school children is provided using a developmentally appropriate curriculum for all ages. These services assist teen, single, low-income, and drug rehabilitated parents. Harvest Texarkana provides approximately 25% of various types of food, snacks, fruit and produce, bakery items, and drinks.
» VICTORY CITY BAPTIST CHURCH PANTRY

Located in Hooks, TX this pantry is dedicated to helping people of lower income by providing staple foods at no cost. They have adopted the 38 residents of the Amanda Square Seniors Community Apartments, a complex that houses low income elderly, handicapped and disabled seniors. Harvest provides an assortment of pantry items for this outreach program.
» WATERSPRINGS RANCH

The purpose of Watersprings Ranch is to help restore abused, neglected, or abandoned children their right to a childhood. Watersprings Ranch is a tax-exempt, non-profit, non-denominational Christian organization providing residential housing for children in need. The Ranch currently has five group homes and serves forty boys and girls. Watersprings Ranch receives an average of three calls per week for children needing placement. The ultimate goal of the Ranch is to provide the maximum care, counseling, and housing possible to meet the needs of these who are in need of our services. The group homes are for boys and girls, twelve years of age or younger at the time of acceptance. However, they may remain as long as necessary. Children are accepted for a minimum of one year. Harvest Texarkana provides the Ranch with non-perishable goods and snacks.
» YWCA

Teen Esteem is an educational after-school program for girls in 5th - 12th grades. This special program encourages life lessons through programs on career awareness and exploration, financial goal setting and planning, and computers training. The goal is to empower girls through individual participation as well as group decision making and planning which will ultimately improve self-confidence and self-esteem. The YWCA’s gYrls to Women works with young women developing skills in communication, conflict resolution and problem solving. The gYrls to Women program is to build on the strengths and values of youth by providing them with a supportive, safe and culturally diverse environment in which they can develop positive qualities for a productive future. Harvest Texarkana provides 85% of the snacks and beverages for the after-school programs.
» KIDS EXCHANGE

Kids Exchange is a program for children to have a safe place for supervised visitation and allow for non-confrontational child pick ups between parents. Harvest provides this program with snacks and beverages for the kids.
